![]() ![]() As I got my phone out to dial, the guy came in, put away the vacuum, and then came over to check me in. There was a sign asking you to call a phone number to get service. I parked behind him and went in to the front desk. It turned out to be a car belonging to the employee working the front desk. Someone came out and started vacuuming the car. When we arrived at about 8pm there was a car blocking the little alcove where guests usually park to check in. I'm glad the previous reviews are accurate and it was unfortunate that we gave them the benefit of the doubt. My girlfriend has been using Hotwire for years and this is the first issue she's encountered. When asked what the issue was, they said it was "taxes" (different reason from previously stated!). When Hotwire called back, we asked if we could just book a different hotel (they told us if the hotel refuses to check us in we would get a full refund) all of a sudden that's when the staff came up to us and said the issue was resolved. After contacting Hotwire, they called the front desk and the hotel still claimed they didn't receive payment (we stood in front of them). We showed them our bank statement with the charges and they still insisted my card declined. ![]() After driving 12 hours and finally getting to the hotel at 10PM, we spent half an hour trying to check in because they claimed they have not received payment from the third party and that my credit card declined. My girlfriend and I had to book a last minute hotel via Hotwire by the airport since our flight was the next day. If you do encounter this, I would highly recommend contacting your booking company and asking them to book a different hotel. If you are booking through a third party, they will claim that they were not paid from the third party and will have you pay again. ![]()
